A hearty congratulations to Osprey ZAP Diving's 1st high school divers: 8th-grader LILLIAN ALTMANN-West Shore HS Melbourne & Sophomore TRISTAN TRAX-Vero Beach HS.
LILLIAN - 8TH GRADE- WEST SHORE HIGH SCHOOL, MELBOURNE - with only 3 months of diving, Lillian qualified for the competitive FHSAA Div 1A Girls STATE MEET! The spunky new comer had to learn all NEW DIVES (5231D, 104C, 5223D to name a few) & crushed school & league records along the way. With her courage and determination our diminutive fledgling learned difficult dives usually reserved for Junior & Senior divers. According to her coach, "She opened some eyes and put high school diving on notice! West Shore, parents, teammates coach, are all very proud" Way to go Lillian! Please see Lillian's stats below!
TRISTAN - SOPHOMORE - VERO BEACH HIGH SCHOOL - Only a Sophomore, Tristan completed his high school season on a high note.., finishing 7th, less than 2 points from 5th against the highly competitive FHSAA Div 4A Boys States. His new triple twisting forward 1 somersault (5126D) and inward 1 1/2 pike (403B), plus his zest for learning a harder diving list next year..is a power of example to all future high schoolers and age group divers. According to his coach, "Tristan is a leader by example" He shows younger divers how to practice and the courage and focus it takes to improve!" "How proud is Vero Beach High School, parents and coaches! Very! Nice job Tristan! Please see Tristan's stats below!
Honorable mention to: GRACE PRICE - HOLY TRINITY - who made great progress but unfortunately got sick toward the end of the season, so was unable to continue to post season- We wish her a speedy return.
